Sandra Sly said... An amazing must do experience.
Geoff the driver who picked me up from the motel was a wealth of information about the area and gave me an informative commentary from the time I was picked up until drop off.
He also made sure I was at the geyser on time , where a Māori staff member sings a traditional song ,as it only goes off, once a day .
Then on to the area where the mud is bubbling away.
At the main park area,I felt like I had stepped into another world, with the bubbling waters , steam rising from the ground , craters and lakes that were amazing colours.
II wondered around at my own pace.
The smell of sulphur is strong in areas.
Another “tick off the bucket” list.
A must see unique geothermal experience.
