Discover stories of WWI & WWII in these stunning exhibitions at Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre.
The Knights of the Sky exhibition features Sir Peter Jackson’s own collection of World War I aircrafts and artifacts and brings to life the story of aviation in the Great War. The sensational sets were created by the internationally acclaimed talent of WingNut Films and Weta Workshop.
The second exhibition, Dangerous Skies, features stories from World War II, with tales of daring, valour and tragedy stretching from the British Isles to the forests of Germany, an embattled but courageous Russia and the Pacific Islands. One of the star attractions is a Griffon powered Mk.XIVe Spitfire.
The exhibition features stories of female pilots and the Battle of Stalingrad is an immersive experience that is both entertaining and chillingly thought provoking.

Great Experience
Awesome experience and absolutely lovely museum in Blenheim. First World War experience history, great collections of replicas and original aircraft’s from WWI and WWIi. Amazing contribution from Peter Jackson. Weta Studios …thumbs up! The short film at the end was absolutely the highlights of our experience.

Amazing displays. Do the Combo!
Fantastic discount on tickets. Amazing displays of planes etc. The combo gives a complete picture. Lots to see, read and learn. 8 minute audio/visual was authentic and sobering. Well done Omaka.

Amazing experience in wine country!
This museum is a must see: incredible exhibits, real planes, some reconstructions, friendly staff, and a wonderful cafe out the front. We only had a few hours there, but you could take the whole day (or more) wandering around and exploring all the information there. And the special exhibit on Stalingrad and Russian casualties in WWII is incredible, and sobering! 10 out of 10.

Must visit.
A truly wonderful display. Professionally presented. Informative and interesting. A tragic part of history. Hopefully never to be repeated to the same extent. Will we ever learn?

Well worth going to both exhibitions. Very realistic displays and very informative. Give yourself a couple of hours as you need to take your time.
