Our family of 4 (Mum, Dad and 14 & 16 year old boys) absolutely loved this trip. The staff were awesome from start to finish. We were collected promptly from our hotel; transferred to the Port of Denaru; and boarded quickly. The boat "Whales Tale" was a stunning old 100-foot schooner with sails with Captain Mike in charge. The staff explained everything clearly and the trip out of the harbor was awesome. We had some lovely morning tea and drinks were plentiful. We got to the island (which we had to ourselves) - so think an island emoji in the middle of the ocean. It was amazing. There were comfortable little open huts and chairs/tables for us all. We got our snorkeling gear quickly and without fuss; and the snorkeling itself was simply breathtaking. 100-year-old coral, live clams (no pearls sadly!) and a lot of Nemo fish ! We hired the power submarines that pull you along through the water and this made the whole experience "next level." Can't describe it any other way other than I felt like James Bond. After snorkeling, we had an amazing BBQ lunch which was every bit as good as a BBQ back in Australia - meat was well cooked and the salads were superb. Drinks continued. We played a great game of volleyball where it was Fiji vs The World. Fiji won of course. Then as we prepared to leave, we got to jump off the top roof of the schooner and into the stunning warm blue water of Fiji. The ride back was fantastic, and we got to help Captain Mike raise the sails. Our boys loved it. A beer or two and some brilliant live guitar and singing from the crew capped off the most memorable we have had yet. I cannot recommend this trip highly enough and suggest that if you are a couple young or old, or a family with teenage kids who can be responsible and are well behaved, then this is the trip for you. 5-Star 10 out of 10 rating from us. Thanks Whales Tale.
We enjoyed our day cruise with Whale’s Tail, the trip out to the island and back were both smooth and offered some nice views of the other islands. The snorkeling on the island was good, the food was tasty and plentiful, and the staff were all great. We would recommend this to any thinking about taking it.
Hello there! We went to the day tour at 7.11.19 we were very excited for it but in the very beginning the crew seemd to be not very happy or funny. As we kept sealing and taking to the crew, they don't really wanted to talk. As well the explanations for snorkeling and more was bit weird and rough. The Food was alright, had different opportunities (Bread, Fruits, Meats, Rise, Salat, Potatoes) as well drinks as much as you want. The Island was not as spacial, as well was there bit rubbish in the bush. the snorkeling was alright, as you go further in the water it gets nicer, as well we've seen baby sharks and plenty fishes when they feat them. The Weather was unfortunately not as good (bit rainy an cloudy) but it would have been nice if the crew would had an better vibe. I'm not shure would we actually book the same tour again.. probably not.
Great to see SouthSea Island. No use of sails. Bit cramped on board. Nice food. Would be good if the operators warned customers to not touch coral as this damages it.

Had a great time snorkelling!
Pros: 1. The coral reefs are widespread and much better compared to another Island I had been to. The fish varieties are also huge. If you are looking for snorkeling and have prior experience and can swim, this is a great Island to snorkel. 2. The food was simple but very nice 3. Small, but very cute and beautiful island Cons: 1. Everything is time structured and didn't give the space to pursue an activity of your interest. I would have loved to snorkel longer but then they take you as a group and want you to get back as they had to play the beach volleyball. 2. The crew was a little old and compared to other cruises I have been on, they were a little low on enthusiasm. But the snorkelling experience I had here was the best and just for that, this cruise was worth
