Learning to surf at the beautiful Tauranga Bay on the wild West Coast of the South Island is a memory you will cherish forever!
Mark the owner of West Coast Surf is a long time and very passionate coach, he loves to see his students succeed and to share his wealth of knowledge with you.
A learn to surf session with West Coast Surf includes the surfboard and wetsuit hire and 2 hours of coaching. It will set you up for some further learning on your travels and help you to develop great technique and skills.
All you need to bring along is a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, warm clothes for afterward and a big smile. Encourage your family and friends to join you for this fun and invigorating activity in nature at its best!

Sehr gute Erfahrung
Aufgrund von ausgesprochenem Sauwetter (Sturm und Regen) war ich mir nicht sicher, ob das Ganze überhaupt stattfindet. Die Kommunikation gestaltete sich schwierig, da Mark zum Zeitpunkt meiner telefonischen Bestätigungsanfrage wohl auf dem Wasser war. Letztendlich habe ich ihn dann aber in der Tauranga bay am Strand gefunden und durfte mich über einen Privatunterricht freuen, da ich bei den Wetterverhältnissen wohl der einzige war. Mark hatte alles dabei. Der Neoprenanzug war nagelneu, sodass die kalten Wassertemperaturen absolut nebensächlich waren. Der Unterricht war individuell auch mich abgestimmt und hätte nicht besser sein können. Hat mich auf alle Fälle weiter gebracht.

Ich kann mich nur den anderen positiven Bewertungen anschließen. Der Kurs hat mir sehr viel Spaß gemacht und würde es wieder machen! Habe so viel neues gelernt und kann es nur weiterempfehlen!!

Super cool!
Mark ist ein richtig netter und motivierender Typ! Er geht individuell auf die Teilnehmer ein. Wir hatten viel Spaß! Wir waren eine Gruppe von 5 Leuten. 1 Std Theorie, 1 Std begleitetes Trainieren, 1 Std freies Üben. Immer wieder gerne!

Großartiger Surf-Einstieg mit Mark “Poke” Perana
Mark ist Profi-Surfer und jahrelanger Trainer, der in der NZ-Surfszene bekannt ist. Er vermittelt einem die Surf-Grundkenntnisse spielerisch und individuell angepasst. Sobald es ins Wasser geht gibt Poke einem das Gefühl, voll dabei zu sein und feiert jeden erfolgreichen Pop-up und jede gesurfte Welle. “Seine” Bucht ist zudem malerisch und hat super Bedingungen fur Starter und Erfahrene. Fazit: Wenn man surfen lernen will, dann unbedingt bei Mark in Tauranga Bay!
